In person Lent Course: Christ's Passion on Canvas

This Lent, you are invited to step into Christ’s Passion as told by St Mark and illustrated by some of the world’s most talented artists.  

We will be meeting every Monday from 12 February for six weeks, beginning our time together with the Eucharist at 12.30pm in the Cathedral Lady Chapel, followed by lunch together (please bring a packed lunch) at 1pm in the Ground Floor Committee Room in Church House. The main session will follow in the same venue at 1.45pm.

Set in the context of community and prayer over six weeks, we will journey together towards Holy Week through the themes of devotion, sacrifice, prayer in adversity, betrayal, faith, and injustice - themes as relevant for us today as for Christ's first disciples. We will engage with scripture through the Benedictine practice of Lectio Divina and continue our meditation by reflecting on pieces of art.
