Finance Assistant (Diocese of Gloucester)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Diocese's Finance Team on a temporary basis

Part time

(3 or 4 days per week for a total of 21 hours per week)
Band 8 £10.17 per hour, £213 per week

We are looking for a temporary Finance Assistant who is looking for an opportunity to come and work at the Diocese of Gloucester.  This role will be working with and supported by our Finance team, based in our Gloucester Offices.

 The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) and demonstrate they can process information accurately with an attention to detail.

The main responsibilities will involve processing the following on Sage 200:

·       Posting purchase ledger invoices;

·       Generating weekly BACS runs;

·       Other administrative assignments to assist the Finance Team.

·       The individual will have a minimum qualification of grade 4 in mathematics GCSE or equivalent.

·       A working knowledge of Sage 200 is not essential as training can be given.

·       This role will be a busy role focussed on data entry and entering invoices on to our system.  A keen eye for detail is essential. 

 This is a temporary 3 month opportunity to join our team.

The post holder will work either 3 or 4 days to include Mondays and Tuesdays.
