Let Brother Edward Bear guide you around the Cathedral. Find out where people pray. Who was St. Andrew and what did he do? What happens at the font, lectern, or pulpit? How tall are the pillars in the Cathedral? Remember to bring your teddy!

Activities include modelling with clay, role playing, dressing up and more.

Celebrations

An exploration of three significant Christian festivals: Easter, Christmas, and Harvest. Why do Christians celebrate these occasions, and what is their significance? What symbols are used to express beliefs about these events? Themes such as gifts and giving (Christmas) and new beginnings (Easter) are considered in the context of Cathedral celebrations and artefacts.

Activities include clay work and making stained 'glass' windows.

Kings & Things

Find out about the ‘the prince who was never king’, the boy king who didn’t have a crown and the king who’s buried here. An interactive and interesting trail involving storytelling, role-play and dressing-up.  A wonderful introduction to the history of this significant building in the city.

How are children and adults welcomed into the Christian faith? What signs are given that they belong to the Christian family?

Role-play infant baptism at the font. See why it is important to have a sense of belonging in the Christian community. Explore how Christians meet together as a community for prayer, looking at the Cathedral as a place of worship.
