The Diocese of Gloucester is looking for an experienced administrator to join its team
The Diocese of Gloucester supports nearly 400 places of worship, of which more than 90% are listed buildings. We are currently seeking to appoint a Care of Churches and DAC Team Administrator to support the work of our Care of Churches and DAC Team and the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC). This is a key role within a small dedicated team, committed to a sustainable future for historic church buildings across the diocese. This is a part time post of 14 hours per week.
The post holder will offer helpful and flexible support to a small team that manages a complex and varied workload. They will be a key point of contact for parishes accessing the Online Faculty System. They will provide comprehensive secretarial and casework support for the Care of Churches and DAC Team as directed by the Team Leader, and deal promptly and courteously with enquiries, ensuring high quality customer service at all times. The post will support the provision of training and guidance for parishes in all aspects of managing their churches.
This post will suit somebody with a demonstrable administration experience and some interest in historic buildings and working with volunteers.
