Reactive Maintenance Surveyor

Band 5 £26,703 - £29,050 per annum

The Property part of the department manages the housing stock of the Diocese. This involves providing high quality housing services for all occupants, obtaining the best value for money for those who fund these services and examining ways of making the most efficient and appropriate use of the Diocese’s property assets.

Based at Church House in College Green, Gloucester, the Property and Development Team are currently seeking to appoint a Reactive Maintenance Surveyor to be a member of the Team to provide technical support and manage repairs and maintenance works for the residential property portfolio, offices and Almshouses. The post requires experience and knowledge of responsive repairs and improvements including problem solving attributes and will need to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

This post will act as the central point of contact for clergy, staff and tenants, living and using our properties to ensure that repairs and maintenance are undertaken in a professional and timely way.

You will need to be able to balance a busy workload, have a really positive people focus, and be highly professional, practical and pragmatic in outlook!
