The Bishop of Gloucester is seeking to appoint an Archdeacon of Gloucester who will work alongside her, the Bishop of Tewkesbury and the Archdeacon of Cheltenham as part of the Bishop’s senior staff team.
The Archdeaconry of Gloucester comprises the deaneries of Forest South, Severn Vale, Gloucester City, Stroud and Wotton.
A committed follower of Jesus Christ, a leader and theological thinker, prayerful, strategic, and imaginative, organised, emotionally aware, relational, not afraid of conflict, the Archdeacon will play a key role within a dynamic senior team working closely with the Diocesan Secretary; Deanery and Parish officers, clergy and lay.

It is hoped that the right candidate will have a particular focus on engagement with finance, church buildings, and the environment set within a missional context.
