Monk's Kitchen Assistant (20 Hours)

Salary: Band 10 (£10.51 per hour for 21 years & £8.99 per hour for 18-21 years)

20 hours per week, over 4 days, Monday to Sunday (will include some weekends, evenings and bank holidays)

We have an exciting opportunity in our Monk’s Kitchen to recruit an Assistant to join our existing team to deliver excellent customer service to the visitors to our fantastic Cathedral and customers to the Monk’s Kitchen. 

The main duties of the Assistant will be to welcome and serve all of our visitors, to prepare and serve a wide range of delicious foods and to assist with the clearing and cleaning to maintain our high standards of cleanliness.  

The successful candidates will have excellent customer services skills, a ‘can do’ attitude, be flexible and enjoys working with a wide range of people across the Cathedral and as part of a busy team. Please see job description for full details.
